Taking advantage of the new technologies which has made the system very user friendly, a new Computerized Cable Record System (SMart CaRS) has been developed which has only soft copy (no need of hard copy) with simple click to view (menu driven system) for not so computer proficient outside plant staff. Care has been taken that no duplication of data or record by different wings, cable maintenance staff, outdoor staff, cable construction staff, cable planning staff, MDF record staff, finance department, commercial department & MIS department is required. GIS has also been integrated in the software.

The system was developed using Visual Basic, Oracle, and GIS tools such as AutoCAD map.

COMPAGE is an interactive hardware system that can respond to customer calls 24 hours a day. Basically it is an Wireless Data Receiver (much like a pager) that has been integrated with a PC to receive messages 24hrs a day. The user does not need to put man power just to handle calls and simple queries, since the Paging Company's operators will be handling the calls on behalf of the users without ever being busy or out-of-order. All information-collected can be edited, printed or stored for later action or evaluation. The system was developed using Visual Basic & Access with the Radio Frequency Hardware also developed & integrated with the Software by our Team.

NICE Paging Service, Srinagar Division wanted to upgrade its Services to subscribers by introducing a medical system that manages the medical history of all its subscribers. SMT’s team recommended a methodology for the state-of-the-art system, then were responsible for its design, construction, implementation and testing of the same.

The system was developed using Visual Basic & Oracle.
